Mehmet mercan of the Reis Döner brand was born in 1975 in Rize Güneysu in an industrial family. As a member of a maritime family that owns a tea processing factory, she did construction and contracting work between 2005 and 2010, and later founded Reis Döner in Istanbul in 2016. By acquiring more than 60 branches, 2,500 square meters of production facilities and 570 employees in a short period of time, this company tries to provide the best possible representation of Donor Turkey. Producers Association with her friends who are active in the sector to prevent chaos in the doner sector. Subsequently, she founded the International Federation of Donors Udofed with active associations in the sector. She was appointed as the president of the federation she founded. Mehmet Marjan is someone who knows that doner is not just a meal. He is a member of Musiad’s staff, the deputy chairman of the board of directors of the agriculture, food and livestock department. In addition, she is a member of the Commission on Meat and Meat Products under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and continues to publish the monthly Dönerhaber newspaper to raise awareness about this sector.
Thanks to the stability of the perception of taste and quality since its establishment, Reis Döner has become a big brand that serves with 62 branches all over Turkey. In December 2018, a workshop was held with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Health and with the cooperation of universities and the problems of this sector were identified. As Udofed, in a short period of time, it has done important and growing work with the Ministry of Agriculture, relevant ministries and relevant institutions. It conducts training and studies for the certification of the Doner Kebab sector together with the Ministry of Labor and VQA. With the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Doner was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage and registered on behalf of Turkey. She registered Donner through the Turkish Patent Institute. Mehmet Marjan was the head of the commission that was established to transform Donor into a cultural heritage. By continuing to work with its affiliated associations, udofed is making efforts to raise awareness of the donor sector and create a new export commodity for the country.
